Blog Post: Trump and the Need for a Stronger Infrastructure for Peace

In a Huffington Post Blog Post published in December 2016,  Louis Kriesberg and Bruce W. Dayton compare the heady times in the 1990s when "Americans could reasonably believe that the United States and the world in general were entering an enduring period of widespread peace."  This ended with 9-11, of course, and the U.S.responses to that event have resulted in numerous long-lasting wars and violence across the globe. The election of Donald Trump, Kriesberg and Dayton observe, is unlikely to turn this backward slide around.  However, they do detail many things that others can do to help promote peace in these very challenging times.
